I was born in former Czechoslovakia in Europe but I have lived in California for some 35 years. My name is Jan but all my friends call me Honza. I speak several languages, including Czech and Esperanto, and I also work as an interpreter and translator. I am licenced court interpreter and translator in California and for some 20 years I have operated my own company INCOS, (INternational COmmunication Services). I also provide individually tailored guided tours for individuals and small groups, and I can show you places in the American Southwest you do not find in any tour book. Besides that I am a retired high school teacher (History, Political Science, Economics). I am married and my wife Ivy and I like to meet other people by e-mail or in person. We like to travel, read, and we enjoy social and family life. We are also interested in geneology. We do not drink nor smoke. I have a large library and a very large collection of video and audio tapes, mostly in the Czech and Slovak languages and I also provide electronic transfer of video tapes from the European PAL/SECAM system into the American NTSC system or the other way for my clients. I love California and I love living here. There is always something going on. The history of this state is fascinating and I am always finding something new to admire. My wife, Ivy, was born in San Diego, California. I was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, now the Czech Republic, and I also lived in several other cities but now I consider California my home. We live in one of the most beautiful cities, San Diego, close to the ocean, close to the mountains, close to the desert, close to everything in town that we need.Visit our city and you will agree with me.Some of my friends live in other parts of the USA and one of my Czech friends,Michal, has a very interestin WEB page you should visit: http://www.webpak.net/~Michal.
